Alternative to 2 Flat Twists & A Bun

Here is an alternative to 2 Flat Twists & A Bun that was posted on July 13th:

Here is the same type of style in the front but...
 I wanted to add large two-stand twists in the back.

Instead of adding the ends of the 2 flat twists in the front to the bun in the back as in 2 Flat Twists & A Bun, I just pinned them up on top of my head.  I would still consider this a quick style as the two-strand twists in the back were pretty large and didn't take me a long time to complete. In the end I think came out cute. I'd do this style again. :)

Improvements: Next time I will twist the front two-strand flat twists back more so that the ear to ear part will be covered. But I still wouldn't call it a total FAIL... lol :)

2 Flat Twists & A Bun

I just ♥ this style!

It takes me only 10 minutes to complete after a wash or co-wash and it looks cute too!

1. In the picture below I co-washed my hair, moisturized and sealed with Jane Carter's Nourish and Shine and Coconut Oil.
2. Parted my hair from ear to ear and made a part almost like a "T" but slanted in the front.
3. Two-Strand flat twisted the first one starting at the front of my head and the other starting at the middle of my head to make a swirl effect in the front.
4. Put the back portion of my hair in a ponytail
5. Wrapped the 2 front twists around the ponytail
6. Finally, gathered all of the hair into a neat lil' bun
7. Secure with a bobby pin and you are done!

 

Here is an ALTERNATIVE to the above 2 flat twists & a bun look.

Two-Strand Twist OUT

Here is a picture with a Two-Strand Twist OUT... This look was created by untwisting a two-strand twist set done on wet hair and the using EZ-comb hair accessory.

In the picture below I wore a Two-Stand Twist set for about 1.5 weeks and untwisted them.

• Added Jane Carters Nourish and Shine and a coconut oil to my hair to moisturize and seal.
• Applied my favorite Eco Styler Gel to smooth down the front and sides of my hair and used the EZ-Comb accessory to secure both sides of my hair
• Fluffed the middle part to make it fuller and TADA! All done!

Wet Twist

Last month I did a Wet Two-Strand Twist set.
I washed my hair with Dr. Bronners (Almond) Shampoo
Conditioned with Suave Tropical Coconut mixed with a combination of carrier and essential oils
Added a little moisture with Jane Carter's Nourish and Shine and sealed it in with EVCO
Used a mix of Organic Root Stimulator Gel, Royal Roots Lock Twist and Hold gel, Jamaican Mango & Lime locking gel, Essential oils and a little coconut oil to create these twists:
I know its a big picture... but I wanted to show the texture of the twists.
